No, my car isnt really ready for the final touch, in fact, its at least a year away. But when its ready, this beautiful bronze reproduction Kustoms plaque will be mounted on the front bumper. I knew finding an original would be nearly impossible, but this extremely limited reproduction will do just fine! I just finished sanding the black paint off of the raised lettering, so I had to share!

Here is how she looks now, more or less:

Man, I love your car! Looks great! The only thing it needs is to be in my garage.

    Thanks guys!

The front has an older treatment I did with 54 buick headlights. One headlight is removed, and the other on its way.

The front end will be stock headlight rims frenched, and a 1948 cadillac grill I have for the car, similar to the Lopez 41 Ford by Barris.

PERFECT.Gives me goosebumps and makes my nipples hard.

  13. Ahhh, nothing like the 3/4 rear shot of a smoothed over 41-8 ford coupe!! Keep up the good work Chad, its really coming together. I was thinking how plenty of "older guys" could learn a thing or two about doin it right from a "young punk" like you-haha. Good luck with the hood and grille work. Stay on course and your car will kill.

  14. The chop on your coupe should be a primer on how a '41 to '48 Ford should be chopped!
They are not supposed to look like fastbacks.
    Nice work.
I also have a "Kustom's Los Angeles" brass plaque. Good score.

to see it at the Greaseball ! That is badass and it looked
    killer before.

More picture candy, thats awesome. Whats the tailight plan? I'm doing a 47 Ford right now for 47Ford here on the HAMB. Not nearly as custom, but good inspiration.

Taillight plan is 46 ford bumper guards, on a 46 bumper (thats a 47 bumper on there now just for mockup), with the taillights cut into the bumper guards, with custom made lenses.

Can we see some pics of the 47 your working on?

The rear pic that is in this thread? Its still working for me. I gotta start using photobucket, uploading pics with AOL sucks, I wouldn't be surprised if it intermittently disappears.

    Hey Chad!

Starting to look real good now! But please be careful with the height and
stance. Not 1990's-2000's low... I know that YOU know exactly what I mean. :D

Beautiful car...just my opinion of what looks best for a fat Ford coupe...I loved the comparison from an earlier thread with what it looked like when you first got it...no need to worry about the previous owner callin it "his" car!! Cant wait to see it all one color flat or shiny!!

So, you prefer the 1946 narrow sitting bumper guards instead of the 1947-48
wide ones? Lopez had the '47-'48 on his, as well as Matranga Merc. I do have
the '46 on my Merc. I like the narrow ones better too. Frames the license
plate nicer. And yes, the '46 smaller guards are great!
