Today we went on a little cruise with some guys from the Route 66 Car Club out of St. Clair, MO, to a friend of a friends place.

He has this little "Filling Station" of private collectibles in his back yard. It is WAY COOL!
He was very nice and let us take some pictures of interest. Here are a few...

I had one of those 57's in high school. I bought it for $25.00 and drove it for about a year and sold it for $125.00 and invested that in a 61 Impala two door hard top with a 283 and 3 on the tree for $90.00 that I drove for probably 10 more years.

Those were the days guys.

 

That one is FOR SALE. It's a matching numbers 283, two fours and a power glide. But it ain't $125.

 

That's a nice collection he has and a great background for car photos.

Drive in a couple food trucks and let the public know and host a little cruise-in.

 

It's by private invitation only. We were very thankful just to go there.

 

I can appreciate it being private but if it were my place I'd have to show it off at least once a year with a cruise-in by invitation only. Just some of the boys.

I asked him if he had any old cars and he just chuckled and said, "No, I don't have enough money after collecting all this stuff!
