I need Opinios... So basically this is what I have: The truck is sitting on its four wheels at ride height..and its level!
This from Ray Currie of Currie Enterprises: According to Currie, the average car crafter should strive for between 1 and 3 degrees between the tailshaft of the transmission and driveshaft, and 1 to 3 degrees between the driveshaft and pinion. Furthermore, the two angles should be nearly equal (between 1 and 3 degrees), but always opposite (see crude diagram). Read more: http://www.carcraft.com/howto/91758/index.html#ixzz1nFwIAXhQ ...
can you guys take a look at my last ramblings just to have a second opinion? my bro is here and he will be welding the pads soon.just want some reassuring thanks

Well just finished, welding the pads and bed brackets and other small things....almost finished with the bed....Cant wait to get the block to put all the cool things on it
thans dude! so exited and exhausted gonna take a nap cuz I work all nite ... Dont you ever sleep? BTW Jack said hello!
hehe ^^^^^funny guy heh? Time to think about rubber.. Who makes this and how much do they cost does anyone know?(ford coe tires?) Or what other 275/75/16 white wall will look decent on this truck?? I am even considering the 1" white walls(gmc coe tires ):
that gmc made me fall in love with coes. it is awesome. saw it at all truck nationals a few years ago. they didn't look any different than car tires to me
cool probably inexpensive?? So this guy is junking a bunch of stuff including a flathead 4 compressor with the coolest gauges ever....He said it ran but he didnt have the time to mess with it. It was converted to alternator and probably 12v... And he was ready to junk a nice small spinning table??? You know the ones that use at shows to put your car so it spins in a showroom??? Well I asked him to sell it to me but he just gave it to me. It turns real nice and I was wondering whats a nice use for it.?? Any Ideas?? it says DODGE all over it.
285 75 16 tires are much more available, but, good luck trying to find a whitewall. http://www.summitracing.com/search/...ameter/16-in/Tire-Size/285-75-16/?Ns=Rank|Asc Get the the raised whit letters, and do this: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/o8jbqwxxIvQ" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> ...
Thanks Rocky I was thinking of doing that I like that thin white wall but a wide ww would be bad ass. Hey dont you ever sleep?

dude I painted white walls on the f1 I had and totally fudged em up...really gonna usethis tips next time
Some hints: run the tires for 1,500 miles or so first before grinding, so the new whitewalls won't yellow. Use sandpaper after the grinding process to get a smother finish. ...
this is looking bad ass keep up the work and like the other one's say, I like "Desert Express". for it's new name
Thanks Dude I think The desert express nae is growing on me... Not to be confused with my wife's dessert' express
Man, this is a great build. Keep hope alive! Also, I would totally run Firestone 6.00-16 bias-ply whitewalls on this--but, then, I'm an idiot. You would get fat whitewalls, in addition to a soft ride, poor performance and ... maybe a pinched inner-tube. Also? Flat spots. Maybe. Just sayin'. I have 'em on my shoebox right now, and since it doesn't run, I have no complaints. Expensive, though. All joking aside, great build!
Will check them out.I really dontwant to go backto my second job t afford tires. I was working a side job to scrounge money ,the latest odd job was kind of weird. I worked for a guy who paid me to walk naked around his house. I quit after some strange requests, like hop like a bunny and fetch the water while doing it but dont spill the water, what a freak! Thanks dude,Nice to get nice comments from OG embers
Move the rear fenders so the wheelwell is centered and also move the whole rear fender up so it is same height as the front fenders. Your running boards are higher than the rear fender lip also, make it the same as the front fender where it is at the bottom of the fender. Good progress on the rest of the truck.
