Looks like final paint. Why didn't you fill the door handle holes? Not trying to be a dick and it's a nice car..but I don't understand.

  3. What you need to understand is...these are pics just after paint last year. It still needed assembled.

Car is finished now (has handles) ;)and just got a new complete white tuck and roll EZ boy interior.

Ahhhhhhhhh...that makes sense. Dunno why I assumed they were supposed to be shaved. Other than I can't wait to get mine off. But, I don't want to run primer spots all summer, and have other mods to do too including radiusing the rear wheel openings...so it's gotta wait till next winter. All of which I'm pretty obsessed with. Sorry that was pretty dense of me.

Clean Cut Creations, very nice Olds. I mentioned earlier in this thread that I have a serious soft spot for these especially 4 door hard tops like yours. My grandfather had one and it's probably the car responsible for me being so into customs.

Very nice... I love the mild customs from the late 1950's and early 1960's!
    Thanks for sharing them here.

The same with '58 Pontiac Bonnevilles. I've always felt those were gorgeous cars...just as cool as a '58 Impalas, but you just never see them anymore...the "Watson" pic above is the only one I've seen in quite a while.

The 58s aren't too shabby either. Mid to late 50s BOPs are some of my favorites I think you don't see them because they were not as common as Chevs because they were more $.

Who knew a 4 door Olds sedan could look so good? I'm talking about Star Dust.

  18. in this shot you can see the tail lights and the spinner wheel center caps... what a neat car. notice stock gas filler door still in place. also notice that contrary to common notion, cars were not all riding around on their rockers or dragging tail... love me a little rake!

  19. Maybe not "mild" but this 3 window has to be great!
Saw it in a mag couple years back and snapped this pic yesterday at the NSRA show in Okie City.

Apparently a Colorado 1947 Mopar. Chopped and that hood seems 20' long!
    I want one too...

    Not quite 20 feet...only 18 feet 6 inches...!!!

Had you read the whole thread, I put Greg Pittman's ColoRODo Springs, CO, based Chrysler in one of my earlier posts ... According to what I've heard, the front clip is off a "big" Chrysler and it's quite a bit longer than the front clip that was on the 3-window originally and the car is all Mopar...he drives it with great frequency.
