On its own wheels and seeing the sun!! Well I started this 55 gasser project about 5 or 6 years ago and it stalled 4 ago. Why I am not sure but it was sitting in a million pieces after I took it apart for chrome and powder coating etc. I have the front end done and now that the quickchange is done being rebuilt I need to weld on some brackets and paint it and then the chassis(roller) will be done...then off to the body guy. When it gets back plumb n' wire and drop in the motor. We'll see how long that takes? Good,Bad, or Ugly???? FLIP
A couple of questions... What are you using for lateral location of the rear end? Not clear in the pics. And why did you angle the truck arms out towards the front ? Dave
How are your ladder bars connected to the crossmember? are you worried about any binding with that setup?
My panhard bracket is in the mail, so when it shows I'll finish it up. I don't think it will bind anymore than the trucks I got em' off of. It is purdy much a 66 chevy truck rear suspension so......? A candy brown gasser with qold fish scale panels?...... obviously the "Brown Trout" FLIP
Seems like it's been 4 yrs since I last posted progress on this car.....It's DONE!! I sold it to an an asshole who couldn't pay so I got the car back. I sold it as a roller and got it back as a roller minus the super bitchin and rare magnesium wheels. Needless to say I was a bit upset!! Since this car was kind of a dream car for me I decided to build it to the vision I had at the beginning, no short cuts and no skimping. I think it turned out purdy BOSS!! The sad thing is that I am done so now it's time for it to have a new home. I've got some finished pics and if I can figure it out I have some video! FLiP
How do I change the title of my post??? it needs to say DONE!!! not on its way!?!? I'm a tard sorry, FLiP
