JIM "BONES" NOTEBOOM started putting together some very cool customs beginning in 1957...and he hasn't stopped yet !

Jim is one of the nicest R&C Hall of Famers you'll ever meet. We've known each other for a long time, finally had a time-frame to sit down for a great Interview Session while we were at Darryl Starbird's 48th Annual Tulsa Rod & Custom Show. And, this is one Special Interview that I truly want to share with my friends here at the H.A.M.B !

We covered lots of ground, but what I wanted to find out was how Bones got his passion for all-things custom to begin with. So, here are a few things you'll find out...just as I did:

Jim and Larry Watson went to the same school and were friends in their hometown of Bellflower, California; when his early ride was his bicycle, he biked to "The Clock" Drive-In to see the cool Crusier's that filled-up the parking lot there; the two rides Jim wishes he'd kept; his feeling on being Inducted into the National Rod & Custom Car Hall Of Fame.

You'll hear about ALL of the above when you listen to "Bones" early year's story: Simply Click-On This Link !

ENJOY !! AND IF YOU GOT A FAVORITE "BONES" STORY OR RIDE...BRING IT ON !!!

Many thanks for the eMails on this Interview with Bones !

Yes, this is only the first of his stories to share here at the H.A.M.B....he's done SO many cool cars through the years...but remembers 'em all !

His philosophy about his cars & friendships with with everyone at all of the cruises and shows is as honest as it gets !

Talked to Bones on Christmas Eve. He alerted me to a fantastic new ride he'll have at the GNRS & Sacramento: A Phantom '49 Caddy that you will have to see to believe !

He said to tell all of you here at the H.A.M.B. "...thanks ! And have a GREAT Holiday & New Year ! And, enjoy the Interview story."
