"This truck was built by 3 kids ages 14 & 11 and with a little help from dad & mom in a weeks time. It was built by donated parts with only about $500 being actually spent and it is driven daily. Me being mom thinks that it is great that we are trying to keep the tradition of car building alive , it may not be a traditional truck but to everyone that we meet they think it is awsome." Little kids. Mom and Dad. ONE WEEK. The only way it could've been better is if they let the 11 year old drive it to the show. I'm so happy. *
I'd drive that thing as a daily in half a second. I love that truck. Man, when I have kids, I'm gonna do that...
Ok, so it wasn't Conder's kids. Someone else's. From the Hot Rod a Rama thread. Conder just pointed it out. It's on a Monte Carlo chassis.
I got my '53 chevy truck when I was 14, as my first ride. I've had it 25 years now, and I think I'll be burried in it . Many, many years of great memories are loaded into my truck, I'm sure the kids that built this truck will feel the same way someday. Pete
That's just down right awsome. Give your kids a high five for me, then take them out for pizza and a movie.
I earned this car free and clear when I was 15. RUST FREE (in kentucky?) '55, N.O.S. Good-year cheater slicks, 3" Rockets on the front. I'd kill to have this car today! I never got it running, it was too big of a project with just me working on it. This truck is a hell of an example on how far you can get when the right folks work together. Too cool...
Kids and old cars are the coolest combo!! Let yours know they did a great job. It's good to see young'uns getting greasy and having a feeling of accomplishment. Great work!!! Here's me and my oldest in our '62 Rambler.
