    My buddy has owned this intake for well over 15 years.
    He's in a bad way right now and decided it may have to go to help with bills and such.

    Problem is, we havent been able to find any other pics or info about it anywhere.

    Its for a Bigblock Chevy.

    He had the fittings and hoses, but the hoses were dry-rotted 15yrs ago.

    We're guessing maybe alcohol injected??

    Tell me what you know so I can help him.

    Have you tried checking some CanAm sites. It looks odd with no butterfly shafts. Maybe for modified Webers? It looks like they welded the tubes to a standerd intake.

  4. is it possible that it isn't Fuel Injection at all, but made for the Weber Side draft, DCOE series carbs? That bolt pattern looks a LOT like the Weber DCOE/Dellorto DHLA sidedraft carbs to me....

    Looks more like the Weber set up that we used to run in road racing. Ted

    call hilborn, use the serial no, and there should be a no on the bottom, and they will give you its history, as far as the first owner.

  11. I believe it was for the early Can-Am. It's an either/or manifold. Carb flanges, but it has the footprint for the injection barrel valve on the floor of the maniforld.

    Looks like it's been welded on a bit. I'd guess someone modified it for Webers like others have suggessted.

    Its an early (1968ish) Big Block Chevy injection manifold thats been modified for side drafts.

    Here is how it started life;

    He wants to sell it, just doesnt know how to price it.

    Thanks for the info fella's.

    BTW, it does have the number 1243 stamped on it in the front.

    ....might be worth a call to Kinsler as well. Notorious for modifying manifolds to customers needs....usually for fuel injection but you never know with these guys. Try and find somebody there knowledgeable on the older/vintage stuff. We've got a 4-pot Hilborn/Kinsler BBC setup from the late 60's early 70's.

    Sidedraft DCO & DCOE Webers have a narrow side and a wide side - the bottom holes are spaced considerably closer together than the top holes. They will not fit this intake without some kind of soft mount spacer with bolt pattern changer.
