I've been tearing a 59B down for the last few months (I know...but I'm a carpenter/contractor and this is my busy time of the year!) anyway it was rusted up pretty bad, but I've got everything out..finally!

    Some questions:
    1) How can I tell if it has a stock cam? No markings that I can see.
    2) The valve seats need replaced. Can I remove them? Or is that better left to the machine shop?
    3) I'm trying to get as much stuff out of the water jacket before I get the block cleaned and 'fluxed-man is there a ton of crud in there. How much more will the acid dip get out?
    4) Assuming the block passes the magniflux, when I get it back, should I do anything to protect the block or water jacket (this rebuild is going to take a while)

I'm hoping to find someone local who has experience with flatheads, in the meantime I'm counting on you guys to give me hand. The HAMB has been a great help so far-thanks to all!
