I getting ready to spray my project with TCP RESTORATION SHOP BC/CC.ANYONE EVER USE IT.IM AS PRAYING IT THE ORIGINAL COLOR WIMBLEDON WHITE .THANKS
I’ve used lots of their single stage enamel and acrylic lacquer and it’s worked well Don’t know why you’d clearcoat Wimbledon white but that’s just me
I'm looking into their stuff (BC/CC) right now as well. Good time for this thread to come up! Hoping for some more good reviews
This brand of paint has had multiple threads generated over the years and a quick search will get you a lot of reviews and opinions. As with most of the paint in this price range, the amount of solids are lower and it takes more coats to cover. While most reviews seem positive, most complaints center around color matching if repairs are needed.
I've had good luck with their products. Roadster project will get Restoration Shop single stage urethane.
It's basically a PPG product. If you don't have access to a PPG retailer it's not a bad choice. I used it to get a color in most cases for the 30s cars I work on. Get a qt, spray out, take it to my jobber for a match. Are you having it shipped in from CA? Not a cheap date. Why did I bring up the PPG connection? Because a local supplier/jobber is pretty handy when color day comes along. Any errors requiring new material where time is essential you're not waiting for mail order again. I've used Shop-line single stage Wimbledon White with great success and quite "wallet friendly" as well. Just a plan b if you think you need one. When I use Shop-line bc/cc I use their front line high production clear, DC 4000. Dries fast, blocks nearly as flat as lacquer, no urethane "cellulite" after the fact like nearly all the rest. A little pricey but worth every dollar. I've advised this before. What level of cars do I use Shop-line on? Well, I'm sure you'd be fine with whatever you're finishing. This car sold for over 300K at Amelia Island in 18 or 19. Let us know how it goes.
