Have you looked at lowering the tail light just a little so that the top of it flows with the fender feature line....?

Thanks.....LOL, yep I am pretty happy that it didn't just become a parts car.

The tail lights will be lowered and reversed very soon. The Tormey 41 Merc coupe was done this way, so I'm pretty sure it will be just the right touch.

    And the train kept a-rollin'...!

I found this pic in Rik's archives. Lincoln bumper graft looks great! (Not sure what the bumper ends are from.)

  11. Cool!
Is that chrome moulding on the gutter removeable? Might clean things up a bit.

Yes James it is removable....hopefully I'll be able to get it off without damaging it, so I can sell it. I agree I think it will clean it up a bit.

Thanks Mo, put some miles on her and she runs down the road great! She'll do 65 mph no problem. The only thing that I've found out is I need a new carb bad. We rebuilt one, but it's just not right. After about 30 minutes of driving she starts spitting and sputtering. When it starts I can't go over about 45 mph. We believe it's a carb issue. But overall she runs good, handles great and rides pretty damn smooth for a lowered car.

For all y'all checking in...the trim is meant to hide imperfections with the gap. Once the end hood trim was removed the gap showed its faces. One corner had to be pulled out about 1/2 an inch to get the alignment right.

Torchie these reproduction ones from Agape are extremely flat, they don't hug the fender like the should. Paul is the only person I know that has original 41 long skirts. He's going to put the crown in them and make them fit against the fender like they should based on his skirts.

Nice. I have been looking at a pair of these for my project and noticed that yours were flat. Can't wait to see them on the car.

Update on the skirts: From Paul A ton of shape now! Hard to get a good pic. They will require some fine tune fitting to your car. They fit this car good but each are different. They match templates I made off the factory ones I have. A little bit more crown just so they fit better...

They look great can't wait to get them on the car!

looks like you've got a handle on the look you want, good work. I have a disc brake conversion from Speedway, 4 new steel wheels and a few other suspension parts stacked in the garage waiting for me to find the time. I did rebuild the steering wheel, instruments and dash plastic over the winter. Used PC-7 epoxy as a filler and plastic model putty for the finish coat. The dash plastic was a bitch. Check out the pic.
