tail light id help

can anyone ID this tail light for me, lens is glass and says GUIDE on it

48 Oldsmobile 98?

 

I agree they look like Olds....maybe '48/'49 98 or possibly '49/'50 series 76 ??.......do not think they are 88's

I have a set that looks like that also '50 chevy fleetline is what mine are from.

The '49 Chevy lights are a little wider, and slightly shorter, and have a lens that follows the bezel contour.......very similar in appreance......a '50 Chev taillight has same bezel as '49 but should have a different lens.....lens at top 'sticks out' from bezel and slopes to meet the bezel at the bottom.....

Pull the lens out & give us the Guide # cast into the backside. Should be 593XXXX ...

 

Looks like 48 Olds to me too.

Nah.... the top of the one posted above has a different thickness on the chrome trim.

Didn't the 51 Olds 88 (not super 88 or 98) have lights like that too?

 

the number on bezel is 5937490
and the lens is 5937492
