I'm wanting to swap the 3spd. from my '54 Olds Super 88, to a GM F-body T5 5spd. trans. My mill is a 324 and I was planning to go the route of an Eelco transmission adapter. I'm wondering if anyone here knows of how this is done. Can I use the same clutch assembly? Do the splines match up? I know I'll need to modify the adapter to accept my original throwout fork. Thanks.
You may need a new clutch disc to mate to the trans, along with a pilot bearing, and I'm sure theres more than that, but I'm drawing a blank right now. Why you gettin rid of the 3 spd? Those are hard to come by and desirable to the Rocket guys.
