Been reading posts. Some say because of spring width being 1/4" different a block needs to be used. Others say center bolt holding it is fine . What was the traditional way it was done ? Remove any leaves? Going on a 30/31 Roadster body lighter than a coupe.

If there's a decent spring shop in your area they can re-roll the main leaf in a mirror image of itself so the leaf comes under the shackle rather than over it. When I had it done it was very reasonable -- and you don't have to buy more parts.

  5. Paul, try super spring on Windsor Street in Hartford. The owner is a good guy and likes hot rodders.

Good idea . Did you remove any leaves from the T spring ? Not looking to have it way down. And I'll lower the front some too
