With keeping it a 5 window, it looks good. I would say different if Jesse attempted to try to make it a 3 window and it came out all flat. No matter what, it stands out and that's the point. KNUX!

  5. Interesting to see. My in-progress 38 sloper is getting a 41 Clipper style grille.

  7. Progress is slow, done not much in the last 2 months, work and Christmas gets in the way. This door is real bad, so am looking for another, they're the same as US tudor doors (hint hint). Thought I'd cut it up and play lean the pillar anyway, lust for looks. Chop is 2 3/4 inch. Top of pillar in moved forward 3 3/4 inch.

Thanks for your comments Kent. I think Buick didn't have fastback in 1940. Do you know if some 1941 models have the same profile on mouldings? It is allready longer in those sketches than original moulding.

This car is not going to be period perfect, there is going to be for example 1964 T-Bird front and rear seats. The car was last year at OSW in original condition and paint (white). Maybe not yet chopped in next summer.

Old saying? From 1990? :D :D :D Just kidding, bro!

    Janne.
No, I don't think the Buick fastbacks existed on 1940 models. I noticed you
have lengthened it, but using the fastback version from 1941 would probably
work. Just bought a complete set of those to my 1941 Cadillac. Don't know if
they are different in shape to the 1940 trim.
Really looking forward to see the build!

Taildragger means that the tail drags closer to the ground compared with the
    front...hmmm...stance, people if you please...:D

    Keep K-E-W-L

I've always considered the early customs (pre '49) taildraggers but I guess it's really if it has the right stance. Here is my shoebox...

Your Zephyr is way too kool. My buddy was parked behind you last year and
I spent the whole time checking out the stance. Stance is everything and
your car has it. Now it is being worked over by Gary Howard, WOW!! Your
Sled is going to be bad ass!! Gary has a great eye for kool and I cannot wait
    to see the finished project.

I wish I had the tools and the facilities to be able to do it myself, so I'm there
with you and I'm not ashamed. If you are having fun and enjoying your
Kustom, who cares what anybody else thinks.

Looking forward to seeing it at the Round up..........

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

sure. you could technicaly make a taildragger out of ANYTHING. that does'nt mean it will look good though. i personaly don't think that look would be very well suited to the Nash. i think the Nash would look best hammered on the ground at all 4 corners with air bags to get it up to ride height. but thats just my opinion.
