Hence the GREAT Tech Week is now over I can post this event coverage. Thanks for the Lazy Cruisers CC for letting me use their nice photos.

We are starting to have such a hot rod alliance here at our neighborhood in Tuusula, Finland. It's a small town near Helsinki.

The Recyclers CC and the Pistons CC were pretty much the first ones here but recently things have been getting bigger. Timppa from Recyclers started his own business Hersti Autoshop about a year ago, Platu brought his Platuart shop with Primer magazine upstairs. Then there's a tattoo shop by Pete Pihlajamaa, Mato's "More Speed" speedshop with Mooneyes Finland. The latest newcomer is Joni Seppälä (Hudrod on H.A.M.B.) with his superb new shop, Supreme Diner Furniture. Shortly we will have an upholstery shop there as well...

Anyways, here are the photos from Supreme opening day and the Recyclers/Hersti Autoshop open house. Enjoy. And thanks for everyone who showed up! And thanks for Joni and the rest of the crew, good luck with the business for everyone.

Thanks for sharing. I visited that place one year ago. Great idea to have several shops under the same roof.

The black Lincoln is Petu's, he just joined H.A.M.B. a while ago. Nice car to be and all built by the owner.

That's all folks, hope you enjoyed.
One more thing I really need to add: Kartsa Saarela, a Hamber and the owner/builder of well-known Buick "Sledanette", nowadays works for Hersti Autoshop. Such amazing talent and craftmanship he has! Really!

    Thanks,

Cool, now you where we are, just come again if you're here!!!
It is actually a great idea, economics of scale you know... Open houses together, not too long way to get parts and so on.

  11. Hey Mika! Looks like you guys have a real nice hot rod scene building out there. One of these days, the Swindlers are going to come for a visit. Perhaps we'll have to come teach you how to drive a hot rod if you ever get your heap up and running!

The diner is cool, and your hot rod looks like it's really starting to take shape!

What a cool bunch of rides!! And what an ass kickin store, the furniture shown is super rare and red hot the bamboo stuff is the best. The 50'ish Lincoln and turnpike cruiser knocked me out, as did all the cars. Thanks for sharing a good time with your brothers and sisters and good luck with your business!! Admirably yours~Sololobo/Retro Rocket/USA

    UPDATE 2008-12-07

    ****************

    THE CHRISTMAS BAZAAR

This small event took place at our Garage today. Ten something artists and a lot people. My frame was outside with fresh paint. Supreme furniture and Mooneyes Finland had their open house at the same time again. Very cool day and nice people to hang around with. I bought a bundle of TRJ's and a nice pair of striped panels.
