Zed..that is like the coolest build of yours yet...that paint is fucking fantastic! I have all OT cars..so Il only show the bricks I painted..lol Here is a before and after. I used craft acrylics, I first started with some airbrushed sienna's and umber colors, I then took dullcoat, put a few layers on, then let it dry. Then a thin white skim coat of white paint with a sponge, and applied it all over till the mortar was white, I let it dry up a bit then took some water on a paper towel and scrubbed off the remaining white on the high points, it did run through to the bare brick but this aged white from the paint and blended in.
That is sharp! reminds me of Rod and Custom, 1960! Love the paint and really looking forward to seeing it done! Love 57 Fords!
And speaking of 57 Fords, here's my rendition of a Fairlane I painted to resemble a Club Victoria. This is another Modern day "Vintage" club racer. Old body slammed over a more modern tech chassis. Chassis came from one of those re-issue Model King kits, I think it was the 72 Torino. Since it had a leaf spring rear it would be incorrect for a NASCAR ride, so I used that chassis here. Roll cage partially scratched and moved around to fit the body, Wheels from Fred's Resin Workshop, Tamiya paint and my decals!
Zed you are the "in scale" master. Very nice. Love your work. Here is one I finished and then it kinda it the ground a couple of hours later. Words went a flyin after that.
Man Zed leads off with that this week, how ya gonna follow that... F*in awsome Zed, you outdid yourself, again. I'm hacking a Thom Taylor inspired build, from his truckster series of articles. Was a 53 ford p/u.
Zed, love the Ford man, totally AWESOME color combo!!!!!!!!!!!! Slim Louis, love your Ford as well!!!! Nice touch in two different worlds!!!!
