Sunday arvo down here in Aus and 'cause you have all been really good this week, thought that I would post some extras. Please enjoy (cause I do) The following models have been made by FC59, some of them 5 or 6 years ago Thank you for looking Rod
Good morning fellas. I figured out what to do with the spare RPU parts from my woody kit, got the wagon kit on clearance for a donor. I need to lengthen the frame and such but here's a rough idea where it's going.I started the woody about 15 years ago, it's got real wood in it and it's getting a set of '34 style V8 wires.
Here are a couple pics of my '55 Corvette that was in our recent Salt Flats Build-Off. Its running a 283 with a Latham blower & is set up for the Sports Racing class (B/SR).
Oh, here's a link to the contest if some of y'all missed it: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=660064 And here's a link to the Model Builders social group here on the HAMB: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=105
Built this many years ago,,,,BEFORE Revell did a '37 coupe. It's a HIGHLY reworked resin body. Before there were rat rods, there were beaters!
I, too, like the beater. Looks like one the neighbor would drive to work. The difference to one driven to work and a beater driven to the Malt shop is a wash job and the white walls would have to shine. The one driven to the malt shop would not have had the gas stains. Fifty cents of gas at a time dont make stains. I remember buying cars looking in this condition for $50.. to $75.00 and spending that much again on the spinners and Porter walls. Good job Lyle!!!!!
I really enjoy this Sunday Models thread. I have a tremor that prevents me from building models anymore. You guys build some really nice ones.
I had not thought about the rubber toy cars in 60 years, but here is one left from days gone by.I do not have a clue how to restore or paint it. The rubber is hard and brittle.
Thanx. That's the airbrush paint that I use on everything from car murals, guitars, leather and fabric. I really like the colors.
Great work guys! 46stude, the 'vette really looks great. Love the detail, thanks for the extra snaps!
