Does anyone know if Sun ever made a speedometer?

 

Yes they did. Pop had one for his last '55 but never used it. Registered 160 mph,mechanical. Sorry no pics. Was 30yrs. ago...

 

Yep, I wanna say they brought the speedos out about the time they did the smaller 2 1/16" gauges, 1974ish?

Sounds 'bout right. Pops speedo was the same size as the tachs, 3" I think. Had his in '78-'79.

 

I know they had one, my brother had one on his 409 Chevy63/64.
I will try to see if I have pics of it.

 

yes they had a speedo, I have one in my model A and one with my tach collection. if i find time i'll try to take some pictures

My old Anglia had a complete set of Sun guages including the speedo pictured above. They looked so "right" in that car.

On a shelf at my dads house and not sure if it's something he'd let go. It is NOS but a little sticky and may just need a drop or two of oil on the cable end to free it up but I haven't got around to it yet.
