The needle on the tach doesnt return and randomly stays in different positions. I took it apart and noticed that the two pivot feet that sit on the wound rotor core are not glued to the wound rotor. The rear one, non-needle side, actually was flipped and laying side way on the wound core. I corrected that but without them being glued they seem to easily rotate on the coil. #1 in the picture looks like it may be an old adhesive patch that dried out. #2 is the needle side pivot. should these be glued? If so how important is the position for gluing? What do I glue it with?
I'll give a bump and see if we can get some help. @e1956v any suggestions on who can help this rodder?
