Has anyone used Summit racings paint, or know who manufactures the stuff. The price isn't bad...just not sure about the paint!

It's kirker paint and just like anything else you get what you pay for. That being said I have painted with it twice and as long as you know that it is lower quality paint, it actually looks pretty good as long as you use clear coat. The single stage stuff looked bad to me until I sprayed on the clear coat, then it looked decent.

  3. There are a couple of older threads on here about the paint. Do a search and you will find them.

This is it on my Falcon, for the look I wanted its perfect. It was cheap and easy to get additional paint if I ran out.

  6. I had a thread on this, do a search.
I was told BC/CC was Sherwin Williams.
I had to thin the BC more than the tech sheet said and it came out very nice after that. Wet sanded and rubbed great. The standard clear was a little slow and bagged in a few spots almost 20 mins after it was sprayed, next time ill try the faster clear.

I will certainly use it again.

Thanks guys, I appreaciate your responses.

Not sure you always get what you pay for! Just because it is the most expensive doesn't always mean it's the best. Might give it a try on my old chevy.
