I have a 1939 Tudor Sedan. I'm ready to have the interior done. but I have bucket seats that I really don't like. I would like to have a bench seat. Do I start looking for a org. bench seat? Or buy A new glide seat? the glide seat, new springs and foam. I will have the interior done tuck & roll. What would be the best looking And most comfortable. Thanks for Input.
I would try to find an original seat and rebuild it using the spring assemblys that DRAKE sells. When I first built my 36 I used the stock buckets, they were real comfortable but I worried about them coming apart in a crash because the were mostly wood construction. It's got Escort buckets in it now, they too are comfortable and they recline, BUT they really dont look right even with the headrests off.I will eventually put the stockers back in as I still have them in the basement. Who knows, you might get lucky and run across an nice seat that a gold chainer doesnt want and you can trade yore buckets for it. Mike.
