what is this? Has a ford logo on it. Got it with a bunch of stuff when my sis passed. I’ve had this just floating around the house for 3 or 4 years and I just noticed the Ford logo a couple of days ago, Stump The Hambers!

 

Pretty obvious...tuning <fork> tool for a Model T.

Not magnetic, unless the plate in my head is aluminum, ooops slightly magnetic

The Model T flywheel has those magnets attached. there is a field coil attached to the back of the block. the flywheel rotating past the field coil creates the power for the magneto.

Damn! I've got one of those,too, from my dad's tool rack. Never saw the Ford logo, I thought it was just a magnet!

 

Huh. I have one too! Can't rightly remember where it came from.

I believe that this is what is called an oxymoron.
Not possible to stump the hambers !

 

Is there any significance to the letter/number on the other arm? Mine seems to have a L or 1 on it.

Amazing, i was thinking of starting a thread about this. Not to hijack thread, but has there ever been anything the could not be solved/identified .Other than how to open that door on that custom AD pickup

I'd bet there was a time when kids haunted scrap piles that had Model Stuff in an effort to snag a few of those magnets.
I remember that thread on the truck door not coming open and remembered that I have fought a few of those in the past. The door didn't survive the battle on one but it came open.
