Well Micky outdone himself again, what a great show and what great people to hang out with. Thanks for everything Mick, already looking forward to next year, the garage crawl was great and thanks to yblock292 for the barbeque and get together at his place. This is a must do on the list next year as are all of the StrayKat shows. Thanks Again RP
Great pics, I love that green Olds fastback. Saw it in Salina. Owned by a guy in Wichita (I forgot his name) and painted by a Hamber in Russell, KS (I forgot his name too but might be Mike).
I'm hoping to have my pics up tonight but I've run myself out of HD space on my external drive....D'oh!
Yeah I do, I have to run to work now but I'll try to put them up later. The guy who built it is named Jeff and has KILLLLLLLLLER wood skills, a wood jedi if you will.
Hey Jerrod thanks for the kind words. It was kool to be able to cruize around town with ya guys. I love hearing old road rash stories and listening to Roger and Hub telling thier stories was priceless. I'm still break'n out in laughter. I don't know the owner of this coupe but owe it sure hurt me. Stance is everything... Thanks for posting the pics!! Ok I'm getting older everyday and my memory is slow to day. I need to ask ya a question. Do I know you? Have we ever met?? If not, I want to because you take some killer pictures. Love the different angles. You have of the most talented cameras on the HAMB board. If we've meet and I forgot I'm sorry I was having a moment... Love this shot.... Wichita has some very talented builders. Very kool!! Happy Trails, Mick
No we haven't met yet, thank you for the kind words! I figure if I take enough shots then some are bound to turn out. If I would have shown up before 4pm I would have probably introduced myself when I bought a tshirt but I knew that I was on a limited time schedule to see all of those great rides before everyone hit the road. I felt rude by not introducing myself to all of the H.A.M.B shirt wearing people I saw. I went to two of your shows this year and both have to be among my favorite shows ever, both Ft. Scott and this show were KILLER locations. I will be doing my best to hit all of your shows next year, and hopefully taking more pics at all of them.
Thanks Travis for clearing it up for me. Looking forward to meeting ya someday. When I saw the pictures of Ft. Scott, I about freaked at the coverage. Very kool and was surprised that I didn't meet ya then. Hopefully sometime we can make it official. Keep up the good work and I'm glad that you enjoy our shows. The Woody was very kool!! The chevy was on all of our list for trophies.. Happy Trails, Mick
We had a lot of fun and we are going to be there for a while. Maybe next year ya guys can make it up to Kustom city. Happy Trails, Mick
VERY cool pics Travis! I dig the angles and such. Did you have a car at either show? I think I talked to you at Ft Scott, but I'm not for sure. Mick, did you ever look to see if you got the Ft Scott pics?
Thanks! I did not have my Galaxie at either show, this year's Greaserama was the first show I've ever taken her to, and believe it or not I forgot to take pics of my family's cars at the show...oops. We may have talked at Ft. Scott, I've been meaning to ask you about your radio in the wagon. I want to put my stereo up in my factory speaker hole in the top of the dash, but that's a discussion for a different day. Mick if there are any of my photos that you'd like to use for promotion of a future show or whatever, feel free to ask and I'll get you the original hi-res version without the site logo on it.
Hey Travis I would like to know if I could get a copy of one of the pics you have posted. Its the one with the white 64 gp the maron 63 gal. my 51 and my dads 62 Impala together. That is a first time ever for all 4 cars to be parked like that. thanks jeff
Sure thing, I'll put it on my site and send you a link in PM. Any H.A.M.B. member that sees a pic of their car on my site, just ask if you want the full resolution version. Just remember when I have my calendar for charity for sale later this year and at least think about buying one!
