Cathy H, where were you parked, I didn't see your Chevy? Would have liked to meet you. It was a great show. Hats off to Mick and the crew, he can't possibly do it all himself. So thanks to all involved. Got to meet a few more H.A.M.B.ers that I didn't know before, Fidgiter, Thunder Rocket, Doctor Dave, And a bunch more who's handles excape me at the moment. I'll post a few pics later, Special thanks to BenD and family for loaning us your son for awhile. Keep practicing Chase. Atch, great to see you again. Here is a pic of Chase giving me a few pointers on the art of striping. I'll post more later. Too tired. must rest... GV
Hope every one beat the rain home. It was a good time. Lots of awsome rides there this year. I'm ready to go back. Always my fav. Great pics.
George, at one time on saturday, Cathy was parked just up the street from you guys. You shoulda wandered around more. hahaa
Larry is a damn fine fellow...no matter WHAT you may have heard to the contrary! He invited me into his 'office' and gave me the nickel tour. Words just can't describe this car...it is FANFUCKINGTASTIC!!! There just isn't one finer, folks...the bar has not only been raised...it's been kicked into the clouds!! Great to finally shake your hand, Mr 3W Dude!! (But, Larry...those 'headers' are still ugly!!) "Rudy's 40" still looks flawless...ran into it at a place called The Hot Rod Garage in Sand Springs, Oklahoma last Monday while checking out some of the other rides there. It's owned by "Good Guy" Gary Meadors these days. Nice buncha guys at the shop...and it was cool to see a familiar former Deeetroit ride doin' fine in the beautiful Oklahoma climate!!
As promised, a few pics, trying to not duplicate. If you wanted "real old school" the yellow T speedster with Frontenac OHV conversion was way cool. And you just gotta love Big Finned Chryslers!
Cathy, and everyone else, thanks for posting all the great pictures! We finally made it to Dewey this year and had a great time.So many cool cars to fall in love with, met lots of cool people, and the weather was perfect! Thanks Mick and all involved!
