Man shit like that just pisses me off, just like the other one stolen this morning. I don't know what their reasoning is for doing something stupid like that. Let alone why would you steel something that would be hard to get rid of, meaning such a small market.

I hope it's located and the thieves are dragged behind it through the streets.

    Gordon,

Good luck with this, I hope you find the car soon. As I mentioned in the other thread, if this happened to me I would be planning on a trip to the Pomona swap this Sunday. Check the car corral in case someone's trying to sell the "deal of the century" (sorry, no title) and (hate to say it) check the vendors for someone with all the sheetmetal, wheels, interior layed out...

    I'll keep my eyes open.

this is getting fuckin ridiculous... every time I log on, there is another stolen something... surely there is something everyone can do to make it safer to be able to drive a car like this all the time.. on the lookout.

Thanks for all the support guys. I just talked with Greasy 71 and he was able to alert some of his friends who work in the harbor to be on the lookout. I am planning to go to Pomona.

Thiis getting out of control! I hope you find it and get some pay back.

Von Rigg I have said the same thing. You were hung for a horse theft and get slapped on the wrist for $30,000 car. WTF?

That car is in a container on its way to Hong Kong by now. It's a global economy. The title, police report, and the history of that car means nothing.

The sad thing is, it's people just like you and me that perpetuate this particular "export trade." And they'll never be caught. They're at home watching TV, and in a couple weeks, they'll receive a wire transfer for a few grand. It's a sad state of affairs that will continue as long as the dollar is worth nothing compared to other currencies.

On the upside, I'm sure the new owner will love it and care for it...that's a really nice car.

dont the cops realize that when they are shown to be completely non effective that sooner or later people will start taking matters into their own hands?

theres obviously a classic car theft issue going on here..
with the value of these cars it is a very lucrative (sp) buisness for these thiefs, and by the way things have been going..they dont have to fear law enforcement..so its a fucking hey day..

some time soon some one needs to gun one of these dirtbags down and hang his sorry ass up in the center of town..time to make an example out of these types.

I cant wait to read the HAMB thread that shows.."Were not gonna take it!"

    I don´t think so.
Pretty hard to get stuff out f the US without the title.
    Sad to say so.
But it still sucks when things get stolen.
We don´t have that problem here, Yet!

Who needs titles and containers? It's not that far to drive from Westminster to lawless Baja (Mexico) where anything goes.

Has anybody installed disconnects or hidden kill switches to stop thieves?I'm considering it after reading tese horror stories. It's getting to be a frickin' epidemic! If they are stealing em in daylight at a mall,ya gotta think twice about leaving your ride in a motel parking lot overnite on a road trip.......
