I have a 56 f-1 box and a three hole wheel. My question is that I need an adaptor for the spline on the column to go to the three holes, but haven't found any. Any sugg. or web sites to look at?

  3. A commercial adapter may be the way to go, but you can make one of your own from an old steering wheel.

I stripped the wheel, arms and plastic off of a 70 - 80's or so era GM steering wheel.
A little grinding and clean-up gave me a steel hub.

I made a drill jig from a friends 3-spoke wheel.
You could also use the 3-spoke wheel proper for a jig.

There is room to get the three 1/4-20 holes in the GM hub.

(There are several factory holes you have to work around.)

I always just got them from Grant. I've got a Corvair turn signal and steering wheel on top of a '55 F-1 shaft.
