steering box ? f 100

55 56 f 100 box..i am looking for the pitman arm shaft I.D. i have one that is 1.25...is that correct ?or is that for a larger box.f 250 or f 350 ?

I can check mine tomorrow . I know it takes a 7/8" nut.

Just checked a RHD '56 box and a LHD '54 (both from F-100s) and they've both got 1.25" diameter sector shafts where the pitman arm clamps on.

Checked my '54 and the sector is 1" and the Pitman arm is 1" and tapered.
