I got the door gaps set today. A little welding and the body should be firm to the frame.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I try to look at what's being built and do something different. I'm looking forward to this on the street too.

Excellent build, I'm a huge fan of out of the box thinking on hot rods. I tried to do the same with my coupester, but yours is on an entirely different level. That steering setup is gonzo...I love it!!!!!

Catch new details everytime I look. Dig that marker light turned plate light. Might have to steal that idea ;)

    Dick,
What did you use as the rear subframe and how long are the leaf springs?

Glen, the springs are 43 inches long and the rear rails came from Summit.

    Thank You Dick,
I'm hunting around for leaf springs like those, any idea what they came from?

Great looking Hot Rod. Been really enjoying the build. You have a great eye and do nice work. Glad to see the battery moved forward (post #64 looked as though it was destined to hang out the back).
You adding a deck lid? Love the hood sides.
Suggest rotating the headlight screens a 1/4 turn so the grids like up with the grille for a smoother flow.

  23. Looks killer. So glad the taillights worked out on there. They look sick! downloadfile-2.jpeg

Thanks. Planning on an Aluminum deck lid, roof insert and hood top. Yes on the lights but I'm trying to make a 300 mile trip on labor day. Other fish to fry now.
