Whats the best way to preload coil over shocks to determine mounting location? Lightweight sedan, using only the shock as the spring. Degree of inboard pitch? Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance. forgot this is for the rear end using 9" ford

Hey Hove,I don't have a real technical answer for you but here's how I did my coil-overs.Set the frame at ride height and make sure you clearance for travel 3-5 inches. Hold the shock up in position with not to much lean or were it suits ya. Build brackets to mount, mine are in single shear with speedway bottom mounts and homemade brackets on frame and rear end.I moumted them on outside edge of the frame on top and behind the rear with about a 15% tilt.Hope this helps you out, Rob
