Hot Rods spindles

    does anyone know if you can install 81 ford f100 disc brake spindles on a 71 ford f100 i am trying to switch over to disc brakes and a friend is giving me a complete setup if it will interchange . thanks for any info available

    I think it will. I helped a guy at the wreckers who was getting parts to do it. He said it could be done.

    don't do it! it won't fit properly. if you want disc brakes. get everything, and i mean everything, from a 73-77 f-1. you're gonna swap the i-beams and spindle assemblys as units. if you take all the parts including radius arms,brake hose brackets and tie-rod assy, it's a bolt-in week-end conversion. i've done dozens of these change-overs with this method, it's super low-buck and fool proof.
