I have a set of "L2097F" forged, floating pin pistons for a Dodge / Plymouth 318 Poly. I know that TRW aftermarket stuff eventually went to Federal-Mogul / Speed-Pro at some point. I'm looking for the specs on this piston if anyone has old TRW catalogs. The last Poly 318s were in 1967 but I'm not sure how long this piston was made after that. I assume well into the 70's.

    Thanks

Can't find specs but this add on Ebay

says they are for 59/68 Dodge truck 318.
The dished tops look like they are pretty low compression.

  3. piston.PNG I did web searches, according to National stock numbers.org, the number for the piston you are asking about is 2805-00-864-3947. Other vendors have this piston, so maybe the other vendors might have the specs on the pistons in question. My brain now hurts from web searching. Maybe this stock number might help to find the information needed. Federal Mogul shows 1061P as a cross reference number, for 1958-67 CHRYSLER 318CU V8 FEDERAL MOGUL PISTONS . Do they look like this :

More searching, darn the number 1061P is a Sealed Power CAST piston, sorry, that I can not find the correct forged number still looking ....

Thanks much. Yes, these are poly 318 pistons and are perfect for my supercharger application (they're just a bit heavy)

PTDF: I appreciate all of your leg work. Yes, appearance-wise those shown in the picture are correct. Let me know what you run across on cross-reference numbers for the L2097F.

Thanks guys. I was able to get all of the specs I needed from some engine shop owners on the "Speed-Talk" site who have old TRW catalogs. I think I'm good to go now. I appreciate your help.
