Just got back from Jonnny's in W.Elizabeth. I spoke with Mickey the owner about us coming there on a Sat AM. He said that they are not open for breakfast on Sat.,but he would open early for us as a special group. I told him that I would post this information on the board and if we have a lot of interest that I would get back to him. I told him late Aug, early Sept. Great place only seats 22.(plus curb service)It's the real deal, just like it was in the 50s. One mile from Elizabeth bridge off rt.51.

 

Sounds like a cool place to meet & eat..... or ......is that eat & meet????

Should be easy to find.

Late August or the first Saturday of September (Sept. 1st) would be good..... after that comes Thompson Gasser Nationals & the Drifter's Steel City Shakedown (Sept 8) and the following Saturday is the PID Reunion at Pittsburgh Raceway Park.

 

How about Sat. Sept. 1st then?

 

Just as a heads up....Saturday Sept 1st is Western Maryland Street Rod Round Up....Lot's of Western PA / Washington / Westmoreland and Fayette county people will be down there....including me.

There is a show tomorrow (Saturday) in Lawrenceville at Stinky's at NOON. There will be Rockabilly bands until 3 and other various musical acts all throughout the neighborhood.

Chuck Wagon HAMB&eggs ended up at Fiddles. Chuck Wagon lot was full of pickups, probably guys going to the steam show, so we went to Fiddles. Most of us were first timers there. Will definitely go back! I knew it was going to be good when I saw the Deuce coupe on the front of the menu.

 

I got a great Idea. I'm and old Pittsburger, and would like to see some cars, so why not come here, and have a car show. I can almost garantee lots of SUN, BEAUTIFUL beaches, GREAT sea food, and a ROYAL welcome. The bridge ain't open yet so you gona need a boat, but the booz here is cheeper them Pepsi, so your all wecome to come and have a ball. Iceman

 

Hey Ice Man, I was just there a few months ago. Found a nice bar up an alley off the main street run by an American. Our wives shopped and we hung around and drank low price beer all day!
