Technical South wind heater ?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by tudorfritz, Dec 10, 2015.

  1. I was thinking about using a South wind heater housing to conceal the fuel filler tube in my Model A. I was wondering if anybody had one they could measure to see if it's tall enough for what I need. All I plan on using is the housing not the actual heater it's self.
    Thanks, ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1449801710.152583.jpg Scott

    Scott,
It's 45 degrees and no snow in mid December in Buffalo.
Get a hold of this Southwind heater (Buffalo C/L post id: 5303387614)
    and heat that A.

  3. Thanks, I'll check it out. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1449803188.947871.jpg
I was thinking using it to cover the tube on the inside of the car if it fits over top of it. I tried covering it with vinyl but I can't get it to lay on there with out wrinkles in it.

  4. Mine is a different model Southwind. I chose this one because it is narrower than the one shown.
It's covering some wiring inside my firewall. I have a hot water heater in the trunk with ducting under the seat and in the package tray. I don't really want a gas heater in the car.

Anyhoo, mine is 81/4" high and 6" wide at the bottom.
