Sweet old car. Welcome to the 55 owner's bunch. Tri five nats in August at Bowling Green KY. It looks like it would make it.

    Nice Grandpa car! :D

Nice car even with the two extra doors. There is a guy who lives about 5 miles from me with a 55 four door, red and white with a set of Cragars on it, has won several trophy's with it. Looks like a good inexpensive way to enjoy a 55, by driving it!

I've done several 2 door sedan conversions, but I don't think I've got the heart to cut one up as nice as that one. It's a pretty car just the way it sits, I like an all stock 4 door sedan.

Would it be over the line to ask what you had to pay for it? I'll understand if you don't want to say, just curious.

If you can buy a 55 4dr driver cheaper then a 2dr project, why not!!

There's a 56 streetable gasser over here I like a lot, with a cage and wide steelies, running 11s times and stock looking! He even tows his buddy's all out drag car, and nobody makes 4dr jokes around him.

    Keep at it, Larry.

Cashmere blue paint code was 683, Skyline blue was 588. No Cadet blue from what I can find.

    Source: http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/models/paintcodes.htm

Paint colors are interesting. The blue on my '47 Ford is a factory color, Barcelona blue, but you would not believe the number of people who argue with me and insist that it is Washington blue, "the best color Ford ever made."

I bought a '55 Bel-Air 4 dr in Bartlesville 15 years ago, Regal Turquoise and India Ivory, 283, 3 speed. Because it was a 4 dr and "not worth anything," I parted it out. Stupid, stupid stupid. I even had the title signed over to me by the previous owner. Stupid, again.

  30. The dude GAVE it to you. Even the 4 door haters will agree with that!
Yeah, drive it and flip it. It'll be like getting paid to have owned a '55.
