    Rikster, if you see these, I think you have some of his collection in your pile o' pics already. His last name is Roten. Can't remember his dads first.

    Yeah, that's him. I've known Mike for about 6 years now and I still forget his dads name....:rolleyes:

    Glad everyone is enjoying them, I'll try to get Mike or maybe his dad if Mike can talk him into it to get on here and tell you about them.

    hi. those are my photos, and thanks for posting them up KK. Pop and Riley were great friends, I have personal letters between the two of them, as well as concept sketches Pop did for Riley. Pop's still alive [73 years young now] but is out of the kustom scene and is restoring a '57 Porsche. He did tell me that those photos were taken in '57, and the Merc was a brand new car they customised. I have many more photos from the era, all of which I've been scanning and retaining. I hope to put them all into an archival album to hand down to my kid [who's six and loves hotrods].
