This is a great piece of vintage automobilia. This Hohm chassis demonstrator cutaway model was one of a few variants made by Wernmer Degener Lehrmittel between the late 1940s and 1960s and used throughout the world. These expensive and highly detailed models were used as educational tools for automotive shop and technology classes during this period. Underneath the base is an electronic motor which powers the chassis. The chassis comprises of very intricate and accurately detailed cut away assemblies such as the engine, clutch, transmission, steering, rear end, etc. All of these items operate as they would on a real car. This is an extremely detailed item as you can see in the photos. It is a large piece with an overall length of about 42 inches by 15 inches tall and 15 inches wide and weighs about 40 pounds. It is in very good original cosmetic and operating condition. It appears to be complete including its original base and control panel.
