Looks great Eric! Could you take a few more pictures of your front brake lines and how you ran them? I'm trying to figure out how to build those for my 64 Gal project right now and I like what I can see of what you've done.

    Kerry,
Lines came from Classic Tube, and they are just sitting loose on the frame.
I did the discs, and need to fit to the calipers, as well. Lines are for a stock configuration. Front line across the front crossmember.

Fuel lines are 1/2 inch, and I will run them so I can race once in a while, without the saftey guys coming un-glued!

I will talk to you soon!

I love those full size Fords. My friend inherited a '62 Galaxie 406, 4 speed, Black on black on black. I watch him race that car on slicks. That thing hooked so hard, it would flattened out the slicks and the rim would kiss the ground, awesome launch. I asked him what he did with the suspension. He said nothing, he believed it was the weight of the car. It broke top loaders and a posi, Switched to a Detroit Locker and broke that. Went to a spool and started breaking axles. He quit racing it after that, too expensive.

Well thanks for the compliments but I no longer own it. I sold the car to Pastor Bill Wilson back in 2005 after meeting him at the Thunderbolt reunion the same day you guys saw the car. He took delivery of it and then sent it back up to me about a year later to put a bigger engine in it and a powerglide. The deal was to get the car sorted out and working good with the new combo in which happened on the first outing believe it or not. He was all set to come and pick the car up and then gave me a real shocker when he called and asked if I wanted to keep it here and race it for him being his schedule around the globe would not allow it. I did that until the end of 2008 in which the economy got so bad and campaigning the car made little sense being it really only fit into some semi-local heads up street classes. The car ran good but not good enough for that kind of racing without a power adder. At that time neither of us thought it was a wise move to keep dumping money into something that was cool as hell but in reality would only be competitive if we started lightening up the car also. So it was sold to another friend of mine up in Canada , Ernie Dreer.

I am however SLOWLY putting together another Galaxie this time a 62 though. This car should be fairly lighter with a lot of fiberglass stuff and much nicer to boot. The link is here for the build ............

    Good GOD, Travis....
I looked at your 62 thread, and I need to lay down and rest for a bit..
Your craftsmanship, is amazing, and that 62 is looking perfect.

Please keep us posted, as I feel the need to watch this build.
    Thanks,
    Eric

Smitty, I was wondering if your car was gonna show up here! That is way cool, and pretty scary HP to weight ratio, as well!
