Go to an upholstery supply house. They have the materials. An opinion is to use vinyl top material. If this is a steel car you use chicken wire pulled snug. Tack it down. Then the padding then pull the vinyl material. Don’t pull real tight. Trim then add hidem welt.
Is it a roadster or something with a wood header? most upholstery supply have it. Try Veteran company upholstery supply Los Angeles. But look local first. Same stuff sometimes marine applications. But for black or camel is stayfast canvas not vinyl. it actually can be made if you have extra fabric.
As chopolds suggests, Restoration Specialties has Hydem-Welt in 10 different colors and will send a sample if you need one. 814-467-9842, www.restorationspecialties.com
