i have to take a little out of one, maybe two body mounts, make a little adjustment then mount my pedal box. we were playing around with it last wednesday, making chalk marks and discussing shortening the arms an inch maybe. we were checking clearances between the pedal box and my steering box. everything looks doable at this point.
thanks for all the comments. i'll keep on posting updates.

It's coming together nicely. Junior fired his '34 for the first time last week and now yours looks like it's getting close. Very cool.

Damn this thing is cool. I've been collecting parts for one of these for years. Makes me want to get started on it RIGHT NOW.... :D

Thanks for all the detailed pics, hope you don't care if I copy some of your ideas.

thanks for all the comments. i've done my share of copying an idea or two. it's hard not to. there's so many great ideas to be found on the hamb. i made the tunnel tonight. i'll be working on the pedal box this weekend and modifying the arms a little to suit my taste. it's getting close to tear down time and final assembly. the body won't be in paint this year but i do intend to drive it. i'll post another update in a week or two.

Your car doesn't have fenders. Where will she ride?

i sold off the 47 ford dash. i thought about using this 55 chevy in it, but i'm not feeling it either. i'm leaning towards a flat dash

i made the framework to support the bmw box and have it temporarily tacked in place. i want to tilt the wheel up a few more degrees to see how that feels and then blow a hole in the body and come out with my pitman arm.

my pedal box is mounted behind all that stuff. it's tight but i don't have any problem pushing on the pedals. dig the old chrome master cylinder on the firewall too.

  23. Rick,

I used a '32 steel dash designed for a model a IN MY '26. Narrowed in the center. Drilled 1/4" holes in the to rail of the '32 dash and welded nuts to the back side. 1/4-20 Phillips chrome screws worked well. I think I had to add or change screw locations in the lower outer corners. If a guy had a '32 center oval it could be added. It was a pretty simple set of small mods for a good result.

the cardboard is difficult to see thru. i'll have to have glass cut for it. at least you get the idea.

  29. That BMW box is a nice piece. I used one in my RPU years ago.

I'm digging the Track T. It looks good. Really clean work too.

The Panhead isn't for sale is it?
