I went today and picked up the 34 Ford sedan. This one is set up the same as the 37 with the quick change and flathead but has a bonus bomber seat. Here are some pics.

If you make it up for the Showdown I'll put you in the seat of one for some laps.

gee whiz - get those old jalopies out of your driveway - you are making house values decline.

Is it a new build or was it done up back in the 50's-60's?

Corn Fed...The 34 was done about twenty years ago to run with the Old Timers and the 37 had some history before being rebuilt to run with the Old Timers also.

454navyss...The 37 is running and the 34 will be by the weekend. These cars have been stuffed in a barn for the last 15 years.

jtm64...you have plenty of cool stuff I'm not even close to you.

Sir Woosh...You will see them next year at the Showdown if not before. I may start running them with the Old Timers and getting on the track myself.

Spike...was that the Larry giggle or the evil...hahahaha

I was just lucky to have these come my way and be able to afford them. They will stay the way they are and get as much track time as they can.

As a fan of the California Jalopy Association your '34 Ford would be welcomed in Southern California. That bomber seat is just perfect. Your "37 Chevy could do the 1960s Ascot Park Gardena figure-8s in the Coupe division.

I just happen to have a copy of Memories of the California Jalopy Association here on the desk. The Ascot figure 8's were the death of alot of 35 and later cars and is a great book. The 37 is a Ford and I'm glad it was a roundy round car and not a figure 8 racer. I can only imagine the pile of scrap metal after a weekend of figure 8 racing.

  22. Great score JR! I see lots of cool parts on your new ride!

  23. Nice score Jr. damn, I must be old. I actually raced old flathead coupes
hudson powered, but, flathead nevertheless. bomber seat and all.:)

Is the 77 one of Brymessers old cars? Is his son still around, I haven't seen him around for quite a while.
