20191004_145215.jpg SAM_0390.JPG during LA visit last weekend hit must do Petersen Automotive Museum. the exterior of building is unlike anything that anyone has seen. inside filled with historic and one of a kind cars on three floors, and basement. many OT rides but, the history the still impacts our world today worth looking at. it is on the pricey side to do everything. but, must do the special 1 1/2 hour tour of the basement. in the basement are over 200 cars, including iconic rides like the Bob McGee '32 Roadster. but, no pictures allowed to be taken - bummer. Upper floors have very sterile static displays of individual cars, or in groups. Later Friday went to Burbank for Bob's Big Boy Burger Cruise Nite. Saturday went to 3 cars shows, will be in another post.

  18. Stan Back, everyone is entitled to their opinion. In my opinion the exterior cladding of the Petersen Museum is amazingly striking. Having seen the rather plain building before makes the transformation more exciting to me. I have never seen anything like it before and will never forget how cool and futuristic it looks. A "hot rod" of a building.

    Thanks for pics Jalopy Joker

Excellent post @JalopyJoker, the Pete looks different, in different lighting. I was there in a 10:00 am to 1:00pm Time period. Lunch was great, the Vault was indescribable and the “Gypsy Rose” still knocks me out!

I was fortunate to watch the GBP fueler run several times at Long Beach and was always wowed by it’s beauty and performance.
