History "Smallest Operating Fire Engine"

    This picture was in the local newspaper on sunday, and I thought the vehicle was really kool looking. Does anyone on here have any idea what it is? It appears to be very small, like a Bantam or Austin American. No one at the newspaper had any additional info...........Woody

    This guy has one of those little fire trucks. It's an open back "ladder" truck. Not sure how many rungs that ladder had on it though... it was probably a step stool. hahaha...

    I've seen it in person, but I don't know if it's listed on the site. He's got a bunch of oddball stuff there... pretty cool place. Little high $ though.

    there is in, the Lemay collection, in Tacoma, WA.a Crosley fire truck, nearly identical to the one pictured. Dam cute little truck.

    Good Wood, there's a Crosley that shows at Macungie every year. Is the truck in the article truck still in the area? Sorry I missed you and Sandy at Hershey this year.

    FWIW many large factories have in-house fire engines akin to the ones pictured, they're often the same age as the building. :eek:

    it is a 1938 bantam panel truck the 39 -40 had different hoods I have a 1939 rustrich
