Hot Rods small block chevy or 351 ford?

THREE MAGAZINES...musta been them red wheels.

 

After being a bowtie guy for 40 years I got into some early fords..... that said if it isn't a flathead I would rather have a sbc, nail head, olds rocket, caddy hemi etc. I have always thought the ford engines were ugly save for the boss 429 & soch 427. Also when looking to buy if it has a sbf I go to the next one no matter how nice it is.

 

Yeah well evidently it wasn't the sbc. Sounds like all the cool dudes are building those ford motors these days...

 

Given the options I would choose the 351. But given more options I would rather have a flattie or an Olds 324 or 371. Just my 2 cents.

 

Run an FE 390, 427 or 428 and be the center of attention

 

You put a FORD in a FORD !

You can always go to the salvage yard and see the Chevy all over the place but when you need a Ford engine you have to really look hard !

A Ford will outlast that same ol , same ol chev crate crap any day of the week !

 

the only fords that have a cool sound are a y-block or a flathead most cool dudes are building olds ,caddy,s and mopars (not hemi) or have tried sbf,s and are back to sbc makeing them look like 283,s

 

Put the Ford in it and paint in Chev orange just for kicks.

 

Not a knock on the SBC, but it takes a talented mind and a willingness to work to have one stand out from the crowd.

Disguising one seldom works.
Dang headers give em away every time.


Use a B-O-P 455 and you probably won't see another one at the same show or run.

At least not in a Model A....
