Yeah I agree, slant the pillars to give it a fluid motion.

I have to say that, nine times out of ten, slanted "B" pillars looks way better.

My two cents, for what its worth.

i would slant them dustin, being a coupe it helps out on the proportions to not have the 1/4 window look so tiny

could'nt find a profile shot of my old 50 Chevy coupe but this will help give you an idea of what they look like straight on a coupe. it was chopped 5" front and 6" in the rear...

and then a 50 Chevy sedan that i chopped 4" and slanted the pillars on slightly...

ultimately it's up to you. i typically like them slanted but some times, on some cars straight is better...

Slant . Keeps the proportions between the door and quarter window better.

some cars look good with them slanted.........

some cars look good with them not slanted.............

its all in what you want to make of it, its your dream ride...................

in my opinion, i would take a sheet and cover the roof and pillars, take some colored construction board, the same color as the car, and cut out pillars and a roof line and play with each of them a little bit

put one up for a day or two and see how it looks then switch and see how the other looks, dont make a drastic decision in 5 min................take your time and eye ball it

adjust the panels as needed till you like it but give it a few days inbetween major adjustments to see what you like

    just my 2 cents worth

  24. Ya for sure the quarter windows look to small and looks way better slanted.. Thanks for all the opinions. they will get slanted for sure. Ill post a thread on the chop. I know it will be Another chop but screw it...thanks for all the posts.

I usually prefer to slant them but my customer requested straight pillars on this chop. I gotta say...Its growing on me. Ultimately its a judgement call.
