Perfect candidate for a Christine, right color too. A rare car that should be saved.
And less rust than when it was delivered from the factory too!
Would somebody, I say would somebody please save that Plymouth ( rescue that is)
Saw this today.
Damn, looks like it sunk into the dirt until the frame stopped it. Too bad, looks fixable yet, probably was even better when it got parked. The least they could do would be to jack it out of the ground and put something under the wheels so it's up in the air.
Now that's a shame right there!
I know pornography when I see it....
Well, it's not rusting and it is on blocks....
what type of power plant is in the GMC?
It looks like it might be crab apple.
Have no clue what it is.
Sometimes you have to ask, how bad do I want it?
I've known about this '49 Merc in a local wrecking yard for years and I really wanted the dash out of it. What's not obvious from the first picture is, the car is underwater. The surrounding weeds are growing out of about a foot/18" deep marsh.
Here's the water in the car, it's been like this for years. I thought about coming back in winter when it's frozen solid but I decided it's now or never.
I found some fallen tree branches to build a sunken walkway up to the car and climbed on top to take it apart. Here's the view from the windshield hole.
Got every bolt out without breaking any and lifted the dash out through the windshield hole. I even got the remaining windshield glass out without breaking it. Took me 3 1/2 hours. Here's my prize (before it was removed). It's shockingly good considering where it's been.
It's a damn shame is what it is. For some reason I'm thinking Buick, but that's just a guess and probably wrong. Maybe I'll do some searching later to clarify what it is.
Going by the dash gauges it,s a 1932/34 Cadillac LaSalle . You can see where the big gauge fits right up against the edge of the gauge pod. Also the smaller gauges. Even the 1935 Cadillac V16 had that dash gauge pod. So @Beezer, wonder if you can make some pocket money from that wreck . Wonder if all the good bits are in the shed .
Abbreviated Falcon near me.
I’d dri…let @anthony myrick drive that…
There is no way that any of these Corvettes should have ended up looking like the way they do. How could anyone let them get in this condition? What is wrong with people.........senseless!!!
