A local junkyard is crushing out a lot of them. I’m trying to grab some stuff before it’s too late.

That's a shame, glad you're grabbing what you can, lots of good resale stuff on those cars that I can see, even if you don't need any for yourself. That's happening a lot around here too, scrap price is high.

Hey 34 Gaz, you are spot on the money, I was just jumping on this morning to say I narrowed it down to a 1930 onwards Austin truck. Cab fits perfectly as does the dash and grille. I looked at the same pictures on the net that you posted. I'm not sure if the metal bomber style seats are original or made up but they sure look factory. Next time I'm up there taking the tools and getting them and the dash panels for wall hangers. Got a perfect set of solid front guards/ fenders off the Chev. Go figure seeing the rest is a basket case.
The Austin would have been an army truck as was the Chev. My grandfather used to "find" them when they broke down near the farm as they made great trailers.:D:rolleyes:
Now I've just got to work on getting hold of that Simca Vedette stuff you have. Lol
    Regards. Paul

The problem with resale pieces is trying to find a buyer. I’m not an EBayer so the few Buick parts I hoped to resell are clutter in my house for me to trip over.

I know eBay is a big hassle with the shipping and all that, but I sold $101,000 worth of stuff on there last year alone. But really, anything that doesn't get scrapped and eventually gets into the hands of another builder was a good save, however you've got to do it.

Other than probably being the same species those trees don't even look similar to me. For one thing, the Falcon tree is about twice as big.

  23. Perfect candidate for a Christine, right color too. A rare car that should be saved.

  24. And less rust than when it was delivered from the factory too!

Damn, looks like it sunk into the dirt until the frame stopped it. Too bad, looks fixable yet, probably was even better when it got parked. The least they could do would be to jack it out of the ground and put something under the wheels so it's up in the air.
