  5. I'd say that the wrecker driver who can extricate that car without doing further damage is really good at what he does.

i have a neighbor from finland. years ago, i went home with him to visit his family and do a little touring. the finland i saw was spotless clean, not a piece of scrap iron or dead car to be seen anywhere. so, you must be way out in the woods to find these. thanks for posting, what is the front drive car above?

Can you tell us more? This car was run at Bonneville under the Culbert Engineering banner, from the San Diego area.

    It's a Citroen traction avant.
There's lots of old cars laying around here in the woods. The problem is that we also have lots of woods so they are hard to find even if they are just a short distance away from roads and cities.

  21. Looks lke a NSU or FIAT logo on the front. Or SAAB. That should cover it :D o_O
I think that big white/greyish 3 window van might be a British Thames.

I just found it, that's a FORD truck! A Ford Taunus Transit FK1000. I want one!

  23. Heres the German Taunus convertible and sedan. Body style almost the same from 1939 to 1950.

are these the cars that used a copy of the ford B motor ?

  25. Pretty sure they had the tiny 4 cylinder flathead engines like early British Ford Y ( 1934 ) type, Anglia and Prefect. Not the big B engine

  27. It's in my recently deceased father's yard in San Diego county. It was built by Jim Culbert. My father bought the car in the late 50's from the owner at the time (Dick Armin?).

The car had a 331 Chrysler back then and my father ran 152 at El Mirage in 1959. Despite the terrible condition you see in my picture, it is mostly complete (including the Hemi), but in pieces, obviously.

You can see a photo of it in his 1959 garage in another thread on this forum.

The track roadster in that picture is in another part of the yard.

    Adding another "current" view.
