whenever i see these kind of threads, it always reminds me of all the fiberglass bashing, fake, not real, phoney crap everybody says.
what all these cars rusting away means is, all you narrow minded hot rodders are going to eventually have to do is, go to fiberglass. hahahahaha
An old GMC pickup.
cool thread! poor cars
James could you give a location on that Warners yard.I'm in Ohio and would like to check it out.
holy shit, did you dig that whole truck out?
how much was left of it?
The truck digging thing is awsome. Ive heard of people digging out cars....but nothing that was completely submerged!
It's south of Columbus by about 20 miles. It's less than a mile or two from the highway (80?) that runs between Columbus and Cincy. I think it is outside a town called Washington Courthouse or just north of there. Other guys here can probably give you a phone number.
Some of this stuff is beyond cool. Kind of gives you hope that you will find something different out there. The thing that sucks is how many people won't sell and these amazing cars will just further deteriorate. There is always hope though.......
Its on 56 in Mt.Sterling. Good luck though...been there several times in the past five or six years and everything older is SEVERELY rotten and way overpriced. I saw the original post with the picture of the blue coupe. That car had to be there for a repair or something because its not in the yard. There are some 70's cars that aren't too bad, but anything earlier is completely stripped or wasted or both.
Here are a few I have taken over the years.....
i have nothing to add from here in crushed out Msippy!
i think i will just go have a good cry!!
Here is one I found on a logging road in down east Maine..
ok gotta be a story there what is it
Awesome - love the Thunder Valley decal! I spent many Sundays there, as a kid....
I dug up my Granddad's 28 Whippet coupe that was buried that much. Sadly there was much of nothing left underground.
That decal is on that 56 post...someones old drag car.....my dad used to go to Thunder Valley back in the 60's.......
Look close. This is a very small portion of what's there, and they're inside the city limits! I'm really stretching the word 'project'!
These are quietly returning to Mother Earth.
this is a sad thread
