  1. I was expecting to see lots clowns stumbling out of these cars.

  2. The proportions of the baby Lincoln remind me of a '50 Plymouth business coupe that a guy here used to have. Designed for the traveling salesman, single seat with a huge long trunk you could put several bodies in.

  3. I'll join the Corvair clown list.

  4. Here's another one that I spotted rusting away. A 47 Hudson coupe. It's just a little north of Charlotte NC.:) RON... 20180405_183848.jpg

Update/Follow up to my quoted post at the bottom from last month..

I saw someone out there today and stopped and talked to the guy that owns this car. It's actually a 48 Mercury with a Ford clip on it. It's been in a barn on this farm for 50+ years and he just recently pulled it out. He told me he would sell it, he didn't put a price on it, but would be fine with an offer to start. I haven't made any offer on it though.

I took some more pictures today

I thought the Merc wheelbase was longer then the Ford and the clips would not interchange? WTF?

  8. Yes the Ford was 2" shorter in the wheelbase.

The Merc wheelbase is 4" longer. The front clip will fit but the wheels sit further forward in the fenders.

Me and my friends would use it as a fort and I would hide in the trunk when we would play paintball. Also we put our fair share of bullet holes in it.
